Senior Executive – IT (System Management)

This role involves managing and overseeing the system management functions, ensuring optimal performance of IT infrastructure, security, and operations while maintaining strong interdepartmental collaboration and compliance with IT policies.

Responsibilities:

• System Management Oversight: Manage the system management units, including servers, networks, infrastructure, IT operations, endpoint management, and cybersecurity.
• Department Collaboration: Maintain effective relationships with department heads to understand and address their technology needs.
• IT Request Delegation: Delegate IT tickets and requests among team members, ensuring follow-through and timely resolution.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain up-to-date information regarding IT inventory for efficient deployment and installation.
• Capacity Planning: Develop and propose capacity management plans to prevent business disruptions and ensure smooth operations.
• Technology Research: Research emerging business technologies and IT software to enhance the organization’s IT systems.
• Policy Development: Develop IT policies and procedures to comply with group and audit/ISO requirements.
• Procedure Implementation: Monitor and implement procedures and technologies for applications, networks, systems, and endpoints connected to the network.
• Data Security: Safeguard data and information assets by identifying and addressing potential and actual security issues.
• Access Control: Protect systems by defining access privileges, control structures, and resources.
• Risk Management: Develop and enhance the organization’s risk management framework.
• IT Security Solutions: Propose and implement IT security solutions to protect organizational information and assets.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma/Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering or related subject
• 2-4 years proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting Windows/UNIX/Linux based environment and network security (router, firewall, clouds and etc)
• Experience in Cloud Solutions, virtualization and containerization (eg, VMware, Virtual Box etc)
• Solid knowledge and skills in network, server platform and cyber security
• Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing IT Helpdesk and IT Operations best practices, network operations, cyber security operations, including knowledge of security, storage, data protection and disaster recovery protocols
• Strong technical, Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure and produce consistent quality results
• Strong in teamwork and ability to interact with all levels

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
