Civil & Structure Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil and Structure Engineer specializing in infrastructure works, with a focus on roadworks and bridge construction. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and managing the construction of critical infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, drainage systems, and utilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Analysis:

• Develop and review detailed engineering designs and drawings for infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, drainage systems, and utilities.
• Conduct structural analysis to ensure compliance with safety, sustainability, and legal standards.
• Evaluate material specifications and ensure their suitability for the project.

Project Management:

• Oversee and coordinate on-site construction activities to ensure adherence to design specifications, timelines, and budgets.
• Liaise with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and facilitate smooth project execution.
• Prepare and present progress reports to clients and management.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:

• Implement and monitor quality control procedures during construction phases.
• Perform regular site inspections to identify and rectify any non-conformance issues.
• Ensure all infrastructure works comply with local building codes, environmental regulations, and safety standards.

Cost and Risk Management:

• Analyze project risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Monitor project costs to ensure they stay within the allocated budget.
• Support the procurement team by evaluating bids and selecting suitable contractors.

Stakeholder Coordination:

• Collaborate with architects, urban planners, and government authorities to align infrastructure projects with community and regulatory expectations.
• Address queries and concerns from the public or other stakeholders during the project lifecycle.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in infrastructure-related projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of construction materials, methodologies, and geotechnical principles.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and project management abilities.
