Responsible:-
1) NEW INCOMING PROJECT
- Brief internally Engineering Department once received information for new incoming project from Marketing or Customer.
- Arrange for tool buy-off and part review with Customer for all new incoming project either at Customer side or Company.
- Prepare and review tool buy-off report and share to Customer for them acknowledge. All highlighted issued during tool buy-off must be record in tool buy-off report.
- Request and follow-up with Customer or Marketing for drawing released. Once received, all drawing must share to DCC for record.
- Study new drawing received. Highlight and follow-up with Customer / Marketing / Planner for uncommon item such as material, packaging and others that related to new incoming project. Prepared new uncommon item ahead before tool transfer and tool testing.
- Check machine tonnage and machine capacity with Marketing and Planner. Machine tonnage must follow TTNF approval from Customer. Any discrepancy between TTNF machine tonnage and Company machine tonnage must be highlight to Customer for approval.
- Arrange and follow-up with Customer for tool transfer plan and status. TTNF must be approved first by Customer before tool transfer to Company. Email any urgent tool transfer without TTNF.
2) TOOL TRANSFER AND TOOL TESTING (INTERNAL / EXTERNAL)
- Check and verify tool condition upon receiving new tool from Customer. Document must be record and check during tool transfer.
- Arrange with Tooling Eng-PIC for internal tool inspection before proceed for testing. All issued must be highlight in New Mold Inspection Check List. All insert and hot runner must dismantle/clean and check during tool inspection. Picture must be record and report share to Customer for them acknowledge.
- For external testing, check tool condition before proceed tool testing. Tool condition must be highlight to Customer if any issued found.
- Arrange and follow-up with Planner and Production for testing schedule. Testing time plan and schedule to be share to Customer and relevant department.
- Record all information and issued during tool testing. Any discrepancy from quotation must highlight and email to Customer and Marketing. Any discrepancy includes for example part weight / short weight / cycle time and machine tonnage.
- Arrange sample build for DPAP submission or Customer approval sample. Coordinated with Quality to review part before submission (follow last shot sample provide by Customer if have).
- Follow-up and in-charge sample build request if have from Customer (follow PO from Planner). Arrange with Quality for 100% sorting and checking for small build sample.
- Study and review standard packaging with Quality upon complete testing. Share packaging information to Marketing a day after testing complete. Request new packaging sample from Marketing if existing packaging not suitable.
3) FOLLOW-UP ISSUE AND TOOLING REPAIR
- In-charge and follow-up with Customer if any internal issued highlight that required Customer involvement especially regarding tool breakdown and broken.
- Coordinate with tool room root cause of breakdown.
- All issued during testing must be highlighted to Customer. Share report to Customer thru email.
- Coordinate with Tooling Eng-PIC for tool repair request. Report must be review by HOD a before highlight to Customer.
- Follow-up and check with Tooling-PIC for history of tool breakdown. Any TRR issued to Customer.
- Check and validate molding process and tooling condition. Molding process must follow Customer requirement.
- Arrange with Customer and internal for review tooling condition at Machine.
- Discuss and follow-up with Customer on repair status. Coordinate with tooling department for repair lead time if internal repair. For external repair, follow-up with Customer for repair schedule and time plan.
- All issued highlight during testing must be solve and immediate repair before mass production kick-off. Follow-up with related party on repair status and update to Planner / Production.
- Arrange for retesting if necessary upon tool complete repair. Coordinate with Planner / Production and Quality on retesting schedule and sample review follow approval / sign-off sample.
4) DYSON PART APPROVAL PROCESS (DPAP) AND MASTER PARAMATER
- In-charge and monitor on Dyson Part Approval Process (DPAP) submission to Customer. Submission must follow time plan and schedule provide to Customer.
- Review and verify molding process parameter upon testing before share to Customer. Process parameter must follow Customer requirement and TDS specification. Cycle time and machine tonnage must follow TTNF and quotation from Customer (Final Tool Approval if have).
- Share full DPAP package to Customer related PIC within schedule time plan. (Expected 3 days after tool completed testing).
- Follow-up with Customer for approval. Once part approved, arrange and conduct a meeting for sharing info and highlight issued during testing.
- Monitor and update DPAP master list once approval received. DPAP master list to be share internally to Planner / Marketing / QC and Production.
- Verify and validate master parameter. Ensure parameter follow FTA and TDS specification.
- Discuss with material supplier for approval if parameter out of TDS specification.
- Discrepancy on master parameter must share and highlight to Customer for approval. Example parameter not follow TDS specification.
- Monitor and follow-up with Customer for Master Parameter approval if have any discrepancy.
- All document must keep in file once Customer approved. Black and white communication with Customer must be record as a prove and filling in each project file.
5) PROCESS IMPROVEMENT PLAN
- Coordinate with production manager for which machine / product with high rejection rate and low production yield.
- Discuss with Eng Process-PIC to study the root cause and issued that result in high rejection and low production yield.
- Review report by Eng Process-PIC on improvement plan to reduce rejection and increase production yield.
- Share and conduct meeting regarding issued found and improvement plan to related department.
- Coordinated with Production Manager on improvement plan and implement after approved by company Management.
- Monitor the improvement plan with Eng Process-PIC either success or failed.
- Review and share report ‘before’ and ‘after’ implement of improved plan.
6) DOCUMENTATION AND FILLING
- Daily review on document to be filling and record with Engineering Clerk.
- Monitor all document done by Engineer must be filing in project file or server.
- Provide all details on new project to Engineering Clerk to be filing and create new project file for new incoming project.
- Monthly review and monitor ECN report and file issued by all engineer.
- Coordinate with Production / Tooling for yearly tooling inventory status.
7) MONTHLY REVIEW AND ISO MONITORING
- Monitor all PIC working status. Any pending for current issued must be highlight and come out with decision.
- Track all PIC working progress to expertise Customer requirement and satisfaction.
- Monitor ISO report from PIC by weekly.
Qualification / Knowledge / Skill Requirement :-
1. Engineering dDegree or equivalent and/or 5+ years related experience.
2. Strong leadership and talent development skills.
3. Demonstrate effective communication skills (verbal, writing, listening).
4. 2D and 3D design experience (preferably 3D design works).
5. Engineering documentation, drafting, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
6. Collaborative interpersonal skills.
7. Accountability and execution for completing work timely and to specifications.
8. Ideally have familiarity in a manufacturing engineering, equipment maintenance, tooling or other related field.
9. Computer skills in Solidworks, AutoCAD & Microsoft Office.
10. Able to understand and follow Company processes and procedures.
11. Able to form and maintain good relationships internally and externally.
12. Strong statistical and reporting skills and able to analyze, interpret and manage information, data and trends.
13. Excellent attention to detail skills.
14. Results orientated and able to prioritize workload to meet project deadlines.
Authority:-
1. Providing the leadership role in the Engineering and management of the Engineering function that covers: Project, Tooling & Process.
2. Ensure all the engineering information regarding project / tooling & process and others requirement must meet Customer expectation and satisfaction.
3. Coordinate with HR department to ensure sufficient head count.

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM9,000.00 per month
