Position Summary:

  • Responsible for general accounting function under direct supervision
  • Require to perform variety of moderately complex accounting activities related to the payment and receipt of the money
  • Responsible to compute, classify and record numerical data into the company’s accounting system
  • Responsible for the functional and financial control of the assigned accounting areas
  • Responsible to maintain good relationship with internal & external parties to achieve department efficiency

Key Responsibility Areas:

  • Responsible for timely and correct data entry into accounting system. Maintain journal entries, prepare payment vouchers & official receipts.
  • Fully responsible on recognize and define problems in the reported data; maintains and reconciles accounting data that is having discrepancies; research questionable entries and initiates corrective measures; resolves out-of-balance conditions.
  • Assist in closing of monthly accounts in a timely manner and ensure all transactions are captured correctly and accurately with error free.
  • Responsible to prepare monthly bank reconciliation and reconciles inter-company accounts balances.
  • Compiles various documents, verifies their accuracy, and ensure all accounting transactions are fully supported by relevant documents.
  • Ensure all accounting documents are filed appropriately and timely.
  • Assist in compiling documents for GST Quarterly Reporting for companies that required GST submission and VAT Monthly reporting for Indonesia companies.
  • Assists in preparing audit schedules for external and internal auditors.
  • Assist in preparing and printing of all accounting records for audit purposes at financial year end as and when required. Provide full co-operation to external and internal auditors during audit of company accounts.
  • Checking and ensure all transactions entered are captured correctly and accurately.
  • Support the account receivable (AR) team on reconciliation, checking the aging and other AR related on a monthly basis.
  • Maintain balance sheet schedule which may include, but are not limited to Fixed Assets Schedule, Accrual Schedule, Suspense Schedule and Prepayment & Deposit Schedule.
  • Applies a working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations; verifies documents for completeness and compliance with government and private agencies.
  • Maintains records through filing, retrieval, retention, storage, compilation, coding, updating and purging.

Key Requirements:

  • Education: University graduate or professional certificate from accounting field.
  • Professional Experience: 1 - 3 years of related experience in accounting.
  • Personal attributes:
  • Possess and maintain accurate financial data in timely manner
  • Possess effective communication skills and team spirit with all colleagues.
  • Build and maintain good relationship with internal & external parties.
  • Languages: Fluent English and both in written and spoken. Knowledge of other language is added advantage.
