Material Assistant Manager

QUALIFICATION - Degree in Physics, Engineering, Management or other equivalent degree with minimum 1 year experience - CGPA above 3.25 ABILITIES AND SKILLS -Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications,with hands on experience in MRP being of advantage. -Working knowledge of IATF / ISO Standard is a plus. -Good Communication and Presentation Skills. -Able to speak Mandarin is an added advantage. REQUIREMENT A good team player in executing production plans & follow up with customers and suppliers RESPONSIBILITY 1 Develop and implement material management strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. 2 Monitor market trends and develop strategies to mitigate supply chain risks. 3 Lead and mentor the materials team to ensure their professional development and high performance. 4 Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure the reliability of the supply chain. 5 Coordinate with the R&D department for new product development and material sourcing. 6 Evaluate and improve material planning processes to align with changing demands and market conditions. 7 Prepare and manage the department budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and optimal allocation of resources. 8 Implement and oversee sustainability practices within the material management function. 9 Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to materials and supply chain. 10 Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to the materials team. 11 Develop contingency plans to address supply chain disruptions or emergencies. 12 Analyze material usage data to identify and implement improvements in material efficiency. 13 Collaborate with other department heads to ensure seamless integration of materials management with overall company operations. 14 Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions. 15 Implement advanced inventory management systems and technologies to enhance material control and tracking. 16 Assist QA with Supplier Audits. 17 To perform other job functions deemed necessary by management.
