Job Summary Cape Manufacturing (M) Sdn. Bhd. is looking for a detail-oriented CNC Machining Engineer to lead our CNC machining operations. The ideal candidate will program, optimize, and oversee CNC machining processes to ensure high-quality production, efficiency, and adherence to project timelines. Key Responsibilities Programming and Setup: Create, modify, and optimize CNC machine programs using CAD/CAM software. Set up CNC machines, including tool selection and fixture setup, to meet production specifications. Process Optimization: Analyze machining processes and recommend improvements to enhance productivity and precision. Reduce cycle times and minimize waste while maintaining quality standards. Quality Assurance: Monitor machining operations to ensure parts meet technical drawings and quality standards. Conduct inspections using precision measurement tools (e.g., CMM, calipers, micrometers). Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Diagnose and resolve issues with CNC machines, tools, and programs. Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure optimal machine performance. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of machine programs, tool setups, and production parameters. Generate reports on productivity, quality, and downtime metrics. Team Collaboration and Training: Work closely with design, QA, and production teams to achieve manufacturing goals. Provide training and technical support to CNC operators to improve their skills and understanding. Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with company safety standards and industry regulations. Promote a safe and organized work environment. Qualifications and Skills Education: Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in CNC machining, including programming and process optimization. Experience with die-casting and precision machining is an advantage. Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., MasterCAM, SolidWorks, AutoCAD). Strong understanding of G-code programming and CNC machine operation. Skilled in using precision measurement tools and interpreting engineering drawings. Familiarity with a variety of materials, including metals and composites. Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
