Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Machine Maintenance Engineer to oversee the upkeep, troubleshooting, and repair of machinery and equipment at Cape Manufacturing (M) Sdn. Bhd. The ideal candidate will ensure the smooth operation of our production processes by minimizing downtime and improving equipment reliability. Key Responsibilities Maintenance and Repair: Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of machinery to ensure optimal performance. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and perform repairs. Equipment Upgrades and Installation: Support the installation and commissioning of new machinery. Recommend and implement equipment upgrades to enhance efficiency. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of maintenance schedules, repair activities, and equipment performance. Prepare reports on machinery status and suggest preventive measures. Troubleshooting: Respond promptly to machinery breakdowns and ensure minimal production downtime. Collaborate with the operations team to identify root causes and resolve recurring issues. Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to company safety protocols and regulatory standards during all maintenance activities. Conduct safety audits and recommend improvements. Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency. Provide training to operators on basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting. Qualifications and Skills Education: Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years in machinery maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with die casting, CNC machining, or related industrial equipment is a plus. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. Proficient in troubleshooting and using diagnostic tools. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals. Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills. Good communication skills to coordinate with teams effectively.
