Protege-RTW Quantity Surveyor

Position Overview:
As a Protégé - RTW Quantity Surveyor, you will assist in cost estimation, budget management, and contract administration for various construction projects. This role provides hands-on experience in quantity surveying while supporting project teams in achieving cost-effective and efficient project outcomes.

Background Study:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying,
• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management,
• or Other related fields

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQ), and tender documents.
• Support in evaluating contractor bids and preparing cost comparisons.
• Monitor project costs to ensure they remain within the approved budget.
• Conduct site visits to measure and value work completed and assist in preparing progress reports.
• Assist in managing contracts, including preparing payment claims and resolving variations or disputes.
• Collaborate with project teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure project efficiency.
• Support the preparation of final accounts and project closeout documentation.

Skills and Competencies:

• Proficiency in quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Buildsoft, or similar).
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Good knowledge of construction materials, methods, and contracts.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Job Types: Contract, Fresh graduate
Contract length: 8 months

Pay: RM2,000.00 per month

• Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Petaling Jaya: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
