We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Executive to join our dynamic Finance team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing various accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial processes, and supporting the team in timely financial reporting and analysis. This is a senior role where you will work closely with senior management to optimize accounting processes and contribute to the growth of the company.
Job Responsibilities
Billing Management
- Oversee the end-to-end billing process to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Resolve discrepancies and address client queries related to invoices.
- Implement billing best practices and ensure compliance with company policies.
Accounts Receivable (AR) Management
- Monitor and manage AR aging reports to ensure timely collections.
- Follow up on overdue payments and escalate issues where necessary.
- Develop strategies to reduce overdue accounts and improve cash flow.
Revenue Analysis
- Analyze revenue streams and prepare detailed revenue reports.
- Assist in forecasting revenue trends and identifying growth opportunities.
Accounting and Financial Reporting
- Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger.
- Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure all accounting activities comply with local regulations and company policies.
Taxation and Compliance
- Manage tax filings (e.g., SST, corporate tax) and ensure compliance with Malaysian tax laws.
- Stay updated with regulatory changes and ensure timely adjustments.
Audit and Internal Controls
- Support internal and external audits with required documentation and data.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to prevent financial risks.
Team Collaboration and Mentorship
- Work closely with the finance, sales, and operations teams to ensure accurate financial data.
- Mentor and guide junior staff in accounting best practices and processes.
Ad-hoc Duties: Support the finance team in various ad-hoc accounting projects and tasks as assigned by senior management.
Job Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A professional certification (e.g., ACCA, MICPA) is highly preferred.
- Prior experience in a Tech environment & understanding of subscription billing will be a plus
- At least 5 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position
- Knowledge on QuickBook and Staxbill is an advantage
- Able to work independently, meticulous, positive attitude and a team player
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
