Position Purpose

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Country Finance Lead to oversee all financial operations in Malaysia This role is critical to ensuring financial compliance, operational efficiency, and alignment with both local regulations and global organisational standards.

As the Country Finance Lead, you, together with the support of your team, will act as a strategic partner to the leadership team, providing financial insights, driving cost management to achieve the organization's objectives.

Key Responsibilities{​{:}

}Financial Controllershi

  • pOversee all financial operations, safeguard all assets of the company and generate accurate, timely financial reports (both statutory and management)
  • Adhere to market and group reporting timeline
  • sManaging interactions with auditors and tax agent
  • sEnsuring timely filling of all statutory reportin
  • gConduct regular reviews of balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy, compliance to all accounting standards and policies. This role will be supported by a shared service center team.


Financial Planning & Analysi

  • sLead the annual budgeting process in collaboration with department head
  • sMonitor actual performance against budgets, identify variances, and recommend corrective action
  • sProvide rolling forecasts to adapt to changes in the business environmen
  • tParticipate in the S&OP process to ensure robustness of forecast
  • sArticulate commercial and financial risks and opportunities; partner with Functional Heads to review profitability estimates, explore and realise opportunities, and mitigate risks.
  • Lead ad hoc analysis as and when required, this includes preparation of business cases to support investments in boutiques, etc.
  • Role will require an ability to work independent and drive changes in line with the strategic goals of the organization.
  • Participate in strategic planning discussions.


Treasur

  • yMonitor cash position via tight cashflow management and forecasting to ensure adequate liquidity for day-to-day business operations and strategic initiatives.
  • Driving early conversations and actions to ensure sufficient funding either internally or externally, working closely with the group Treasure


rCompliance and Risk Managemen

  • tEnsuring a strong controls environment to mitigate risk
  • sSetting the "tone at the top" in all controls related matters.


Leadership, People Developmen

  • tCandidate needs to display an ability to lead via working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders and having a strong capability to influence.
  • Ability to lead and develop the finance team is a must.


Requirement

  • sBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA preferred).
  • Strong understanding of IFRS/MFRS, tax laws, and regulatory requirement
  • sProven experience in working capital management, cash flow forecasting, and financial analysi
  • sExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skill
  • sDemonstrated ability to lead and develop teams. Will need to have managed a decent-sized tea
  • mHave good interpersonal skills and an ability to drive tasks to completion
  • Experience in using SAP Accounting software is a plus but not a mus
