Job Description:

The role encompasses a diverse range of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

a. Business development

- Collaborate with stakeholders to define scopes, timelines, and relevant inputs to meet development stage requirements such as technical inputs for financial modeling and commercial evaluation.

- Carry out tendering and M&A exercise for renewable energy and clean energy projects

- Supports due diligence process through reviewing feasibility study report, PPA, O&M agreement, EPC contract, design drawings, power market overview, internal and external project meetings

- Meeting with authorities, contractors and bankers for project opportunities

- Maintaining current business partner relationships and explore new project investment opportunities.

b. Project development

- Prepare RFQ and RFP documents

- Engagement of EIA consultant, EPC contractor, vendors, etc for project execution with project management team

- Provide technical support to plan, execute and oversee power projects from inception to completion.

- Review project documents and design documents to identify potential project risks.

- Work with Project Management Team on scope and design changes.

- Address technical issues and provide innovative solutions as challenges arise.

c. Traveling overseas for business development work may require.

d. Based in Kuala Lumpur office.

Requirement:

Candidate should possess the following qualifications, skills and experience:

a. A bachelor’s degree in engineering related field such as Mechanical/Electrical engineering or other relevant engineering.

b. Knowledge and experience in power plant projects.

c. At least 8 years’ experience in power plant project industry with managerial position, renewable energy and/or gas-fired experience will be an added advantage.

d. Ability to analyze data, solve engineering problems and implement plans to improve efficiency.

e. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Good written and presentation skills with ability to write accurate and detailed technical reports and proposal.

f. Proficiency in Microsoft excel.

g. Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
