Job Description :

  • Corrective and Preventive maintenance of BSS/RAN Network elements which includes NSN 2G & 3G elements within defined SLAs.
  • Fault management in terms of coordination with other teams (core, transmission, IPBB, DCN, VAS, etc.).
  • Configuration management for BSS/RAN network elements and services.
  • Performance monitoring of BSS/RAN network equipment and its links.
  • Audit of existing network and suggestion of improvement plans.
  • Planning support by providing network topology and information.
  • Coordination with customer and MS internal departments.

Job Requirement :

  • Minimum 3 years working experience in wireless network operations for a telecommunication company with implementation, network planning, and cutover experience in wireless networks.
  • Hands-on experience of BSS/RAN operations in a telecommunication company.
  • Good knowledge of GSM, GPRS, UMTS, and IP protocols.
  • Responsible for providing second-level support in fault management, configuration, performance, and security management for the radio access network (2G, 3G, & LTE).
  • Properly judge the complexity of the fault, configuration, and performance, call for multiple expertise support and/or escalate to the technical assistance centre (TAC) (3rd line support) or vendor engineer effectively.
  • Cooperate in multiple expertise fault handling, configuration, and performance management.
  • Ensure the job tasks are carried out in accordance with the SLA (service level agreement) and KPI (key performance indicator).
  • Responsible to handle faults that cannot be solved by the first-line engineer in the front office.
  • Responsible to handle customer complaints unresolved by the first-line engineer in the front office.
  • Prepare restoration plans in the event of critical incidents and provide RCAs after rectification.
  • Provide monthly reports for queries, statistics, and trends.
  • Prepare severe incident and ad-hoc reports in a timely manner.
  • Provide on-the-job training to subordinates.
  • Manage network service quality and customer complaint reduction improvement initiatives.
  • Develop SOPs for common alarms.
  • Develop or review methods of procedures for every change configuration.
