Key Responsibilities:
- Health and Safety Programs:
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive health and safety programs.
- Ensure programs are in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Risk Assessment:
- Conduct regular risk assessments and hazard analyses in the workplace.
- Identify potential safety hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Training and Development:
- Train employees on health and safety practices, emergency procedures, and proper use of safety equipment.
- Organize and conduct safety drills and training sessions.
- Compliance and Inspections:
- Ensure compliance with all safety and health regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of facilities and equipment.
- Prepare and submit safety reports to regulatory authorities as required.
- Incident Management:
- Investigate workplace accidents and incidents to determine causes and recommend preventive measures.
- Maintain records of all incidents and prepare incident reports.
- Policy Development:
- Develop and update company policies and procedures related to health and safety.
- Ensure policies are communicated to all employees and implemented effectively.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with management, HR, and other departments to promote a culture of safety.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and external safety consultants.
- Compliance Tasks:
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Prepare and manage documentation for compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct compliance audits and inspections to ensure adherence to standards.
- Develop corrective action plans to address any non-compliance issues identified.
- Oversee compliance with BSCI, SMETA, FSC, and customer audit requirements.
- Ensure proper management of hostel facilities and handle disciplinary matters.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Monitor safety performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay updated on new safety regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
