Role Description
Plan and manage the supply of latex and chemical compound that are required for manufacturing of gloves that fulfils the control parameters required by the production team to produce high quality gloves.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Raw Material Management
- Plan and order raw materials based on production schedules and inventory levels.
- Verify and inspect incoming chemicals to meet quality standards.
- Collaborate with Factory Manager for formula adjustments and chemical changes.
2. Compounding Process Management
- Ensure the correct recipe and materials are used for compounding.
- Review batch formulas and verify accuracy for required compound volume.
3. Coordination with Production and Wastewater Treatment
- Align with production for compounding volume and usage schedules.
- Minimize waste by planning the use of stored compounds during product changes.
- Communicate with Wastewater Treatment to avoid adverse effects during chemical changes.
4. Post-Compounding Quality Assurance
- Submit samples for lab testing and approval before production use.
- Review lab reports and ensure compounds meet production requirements.
- Arrange for compound transfers and tank cleaning for new batches.
5. Chemical Store Management
- Store chemicals safely and orderly, adhering to compliance standards.
- Maintain inventory records and conduct regular stock checks.
6. Safety and Compliance
- Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs).
- Promote and enforce safe work practices and PPE usage to prevent injuries.
- Ensure compliance with manufacturing documentation and safety standards.
7. Team Development and Performance
- Mentor team members and provide technical leadership for skill enhancement.
- Monitor team performance against KPIs and collaborate with HR for development.
- Ensure workforce compliance with policies and wellbeing standards.
8. Continuous Improvement and Other Duties
- Participate in implementing process control systems and quality initiatives.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Qualification:
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry/ Polymer Science or equivalent.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years working experience in related field with a minimum 2 years in a managerial role.
Experience in manufacturing field with ISO compliance and regulatory environment.
Experience in GMP, FDA, HALAL, HACCP, ISO compliance and industrial standard.
