Responsible for leading and managing the engineering team to deliver high quality and innovative solutions. Plays a key role in driving the technical direction of our projects to ensure successful execution and fostering a collaborative and high-performing engineering culture.
Technical Support and Process Optimization
• Provides technical support to various departments regarding all process matters to acquire the best possible results.
• Achieves all process parameters for new and current products at its utmost optimization.
• Provides technical support to customer on new product Design for Manufacturing (“DFM”) and quality improvement on existing products.
• Manages and supports engineering activities in troubleshooting molding-related issues, to ensure efficient resolution and optimization.
• Oversees the detailed inspections of incoming molds are performed by tooling engineers prior to mold testing, to maintain quality standards and efficiency.
• Assigns Engineers for relevant evaluations reports for First Article (“FA”) and existing parts, ensuring thorough documentation.
• Monitors and manages the process of FA / Chargeable Samples to ensure the scheduled timelines are met.
Leadership and Team Management
• Leads, mentors, and inspires the team by providing guidance, coaching and support to help them achieve their full potential.
• Fosters a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement within the team and company.
• Manages, organizes and prioritizes tasks and responsibilities of individual workers to ensure optimal use of resources and achieve operational efficiencies.
Collaboration with Others
• Liaises with Production to ensure all new parts and processes are handed over properly.
• Works together with Production in setting up and troubleshooting all parts and processes, as well as collecting defect data.
• Liaises with suppliers for all new engineering projects to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
• Work with R&D to conduct material evaluations (if needed) to improve parts quality, yield and cleanliness, to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience of Engineering field with 3 years in Senior Management team, in manufacturing industry.
• Preferred with Die-Cut, Rubber molding & LSR industry knowledge.
• Sound technical knowledge to manage team and provides technical solutions for all process related issues.
• Knowledge in tool design and provides solutions for all tooling related issues.
• Possess good knowledge in all processes and able to prepare competitive RFQ with very good profit margin.
• Able to handle customers and provide technical solutions to them.
• Strong leadership and excellent communication skills.
• Bilingual in English and Mandarin as you will be working with our China counterparts.
