Associate - Corporate and Commercial

We are seeking a skilled legal professional to join our team, providing expert support on corporate and commercial matters. The role involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of contracts; advising on M&A, joint ventures, and corporate restructurings; and managing due diligence for high-profile cross-border transactions. Support Partners and Senior Associates with various projects and initiatives as needed. Participate in the firm’s business development initiative and adapt to the firm's needs and growth.

Key Requirements:

• A legal practitioner trained with an international or top-tier law firm.
• Driven, committed, and capable of completing tasks competently with minimal supervision, while demonstrating a strong sense of responsibility and initiative.
• Must hold an LL.B (Hons) from a reputable university; a postgraduate qualification is desirable.
• Admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya, with 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in corporate and commercial law.
• Strong understanding of corporate and commercial law principles, including contract law and mergers and acquisitions.
• Detail-oriented with effective time management, strong client/people-handling skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Able to adapt to rapid changes within the industry and demonstrate sound judgment and impeccable integrity.
• Highly proficient in both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, complemented by a pleasant personality
