ROLE PURPOSE:

Lead and implement the Testing Centre of Excellence (COE) which contains the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) practices to provide a pro-active and independent testing service (i.e. SIT & Performance testing) to ensure the quality software delivery to the Bank

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Define and review testing framework, process, approaches, automation, and SIT and Performance testing strategies.
  • Support quality solutions delivery by verifying software functionalities to ensure they meet the documented functional specifications.
  • Work with the project team including of development team, application support team, Project Managers, and vendors to create test plans and execute test cases to verify the IT system meets user expectations and is stable without major application performance issues.
  • Review application requirements to provide feedback on testability and other possible risk areas that could impact system quality; and provide recommendations on preventive/mitigation measures.
  • Lead, guide, and monitor the test analysis, design, and execution of test cases/test suites.
  • Effective use of testing tools for efficiency and promote traceability of the tests to the test basis i.e. functional specifications.
  • Manage the system integration testing (SIT), functional regression testing, and Performance Testing for quality software delivery.
  • Facilitate the issue triage with project teams for root cause analysis.
  • Provide test process support and test advisory across the Digital and Technology Sector (DTS).

QUALIFICATION / EXPERIENCE :

Academic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in information technology.
  • An advanced degree or CTAL Test Manager is highly desirable.

Experience:

  • At least 10 years of working experience in software testing in a Technology organization of which at least 3 years leading and overseeing quality assurance work or test management, preferably in the banking industry.
  • Working knowledge of testing tools i.e. test management tool, defect management tool, functional regression testing tool, and performance testing tool.

  • IT Systems and Technology
  • Technical Architecture
  • Tools: Microfocus ALM, UFT, Bugzilla, Testlink, Jmeter, LoadRunner.

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM12,000.00 - RM14,000.00 per month
