JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

To advise the employer or any person in charge of a place of work on the measures to be taken in the interests of the safety, health and environment of the persons employed in the place of work
To inspect the place of work to determine whether any machinery, plant, equipment, substance, appliances or process or any description of manual labor used in the place of work, is of such nature liable to cause bodily injury and health injury to any person working in the place of work
To investigate any accident, near-miss accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning or occupational disease that happened in the place of work
To assist the employer or the safety and health committee, if any, pursuant to regulation 11 of the Occupational Safety and Health (Safety and Health Committee) Regulations 1996 [P.U.(A) 616/96] in organizing and implementing occupational safety and health program at the place of work
To become secretary to the safety and health committee, if any, as specified under sub regulation 6(2) of the Occupational Safety and Health (Safety and Health Committee) Regulations 1996, and perform all functions of a secretary as specified in that Regulations
To assist the safety and health committee in any inspection of place of work for the purposes of checking the effectiveness and efficacy of any measures taken in compliance with the Act or any regulations made under the Act
To collect, analyze and maintain statistics on any accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning and occupational disease which have occurred at the place of work
To assist any officer in carrying made by the employer or any person in charge of the place of work on any matters pertaining to safety and health of the place of work,

To manage machinery equipment & other registrations related to workplace in DOSH-MyKKP system

To submit DOSH online report periodically in google form (by DOSH)
Conduct periodic inspection on firefighting system and advice management on manage it as required
To advice & assist management on managing ERP as required
To conduct 5S audit & generate report, advice respective team members, assist on 5S improvement accordingly
To inspect, advice & assist on lifting activities
To manage PPE stock, issuance & inspection with records
To manage chemical register with SDS
To review, inspect & verify PTW before start work
To manage (initiate, coordinate, review the report, discuss on recommendation & ensure recommendation communicated and implemented with appropriate evidence) Health & Environmental monitoring assessment (if applicable)
Lead in-house training with managers and employees on safety, health, environmental issues and risks
To ensure the Schedule Waste Management is being practiced according to legal requirements, implemented properly in the Plants and managed the system of scheduled waste handling
To prepare and submit HSE monthly report as scheduled,

To review Work Instructions / Method of Statement, HIRARC & Environmental Aspect Impact Evaluation, advice and assist workplace team on revision based on actual work process or as required

To perform other duties on updating the management on the current legalization changes or updates (LOR) and communicate with respective team members to furnish appropriate evidence
To guide the management on implementation a guideline drawn by the local authorities on Occupational Safety, Health and Environment
To assist HSE Manager / Assistant Manager on HSE management,

Any other job function assigned, and new responsibilities may be added as and when necessary from time to time.
