Shift Manager
Provide general overall FM services including continuous monitoring of facility. Work with facilities managers to handle routine management operations, including procurement of property supplies and services, issuing purchase orders, managing bid requests and service/construction contracts, and processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable. Must be Certified Data Centre Professional.
Administrative function
Assist Facility Management Team with tactical planning for the team's goals and objectives.
Recommend continuous management initiatives and energy management plan. Review existing operations regularly to reduce cost and improve operational standards. Actively search-out opportunities to achieve better or best results and increase the energy efficiency (PUE – Power Utilization Efficiencies).
Provide facility specific assistance to the project management team as needed or requested.
Manage and maintain facility management tasks as assigned.
Coordinate special events in support of client or JLL.
Provide support for meetings and conference room reservations as needed and directed.
Assist with the coordination and scheduling of maintenance activities.
Schedule preventative maintenance, respond to urgent maintenance calls and participate in the creation of emergency preparedness plans.
Contract administration and associated reporting.
HSE Management
To ensure the site provision of safe working environment and compliance to HSE standards.
Competent in under taking Job Hazards Analysis (JHA)
Work closely with HSE Executive in overall planning, executing and delivering HSE procedures to all activities at site.
Managing third party COIs and critical related issues.
Coordinate and provide overall performance reporting. To formulate, develop and implement systems that will ensure plant is maintained and operated in accordance with current legislation and to its optimum efficiency
Establish/coordinate access into necessary service request applications as needed.
Set up vendor meets between vendor and the group to allow access into facility services.
Update floor plan if there is any changes in the layout.
Assist on submitting for approval for any government compliance letter.
Submitting for approval for any work that doesn’t requite permit.
Assisting on the tracking for meeting room booking for longer period.
Preparation of documentation for Application on the new vendor to be JLL vendor and statutory requirement.
Qualifications and Ideal Experiences
Tertiary Qualifications in a mechanical, electrical or operational engineering discipline.
3 - 4 years of relevant experience in engineering or critical environment space.
1 - 2 years’ experience in the operation of electrical and mechanical services in Tier III or
equivalent data centre or critical facility.
Excellent people skills and ability to interact with a wide range of client and vendor staff.
Critical environment experience within similar sized site or operation.
Experienced with continuous improvement initiatives, client relationship and preparation of
Hands-on experiences and knowledge in M&E and building related systems, eg CRAU, chillers, PDU, UPS, Switch Gears Ops, DX cooling, Network structure cabling, Security
Lead major DC activities during non-office hours where appropriate.
