Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring safety protocols and procedures – Ensuring safety rules are adhered to on-site.
- Conducting inspections and audits – To identify hazards and maintain compliance with safety standards.
- Training and development – Assisting in the delivery and planning of safety training.
- Collaboration with teams – Working with HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) and site supervisors to maintain a safe work environment.
- Recordkeeping – Documenting safety activities, incidents, and audits.
- Risk assessment – Identifying, evaluating, and mitigating potential safety risks.
- Works closely with the HSE team to ensure that the site complies with all safety policies and regulations.
- Inspect and ensure that the work environment is safe and free from hazards.
- Assist site supervisor to conduct daily 'toolbox meeting' before work commences.
- Collaborate with Safety Officers to implement and enforce safety programs, making this responsibility an important part of the role.
- Coordinate and organize training to ensure that all staff are properly informed about safety standards and procedures.
- Conducting audits and inspections to identifying hazards and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Candidate Qualifications
- 1 – 3 years of relevant experience in the safety field.
- Diploma in Health & Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, or a similar field.
- Knowledge of Safety Standards and Regulations: Familiarity with industry safety standards (such as OSHA, HSE regulations, and specific oil and gas safety protocols) is crucial.
- Yellow Book Certificate holder (Active)
- Oil & Gas Safe Passport (OGSP)
- First Aid & Fire Safety Training
- Experience in oil and gas or related industries is typically preferred, especially given the high-risk nature of these sectors.
- Quick learner and adaptable are valuable personal qualities for any role, especially in dynamic work environments
- Soft skills and proficiency in tools like Microsoft Office.
- Willingness to travel is required for site-based roles, where supervisors may need to visit different worksites.
Remuneration & Benefits
- Outstation Allowance RM60/day
- Offshore Allowance RM150/day

- Monday – Saturday, 9.00am – 5.30pm
