Job Description
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and programs aligned with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Act) and other relevant regulations, conduct safety inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement control measures, develop emergency response plans and conducting drills etc.
- Conduct / promote and provide safety training programs, safety culture and awareness campaigns and information for employees at all levels within the organization.
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes, implement corrective actions to prevent accidents / incidents, complying with reporting requirements to DOSH.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and industry-specific standards, maintain necessary documents and records, liaise with DOSH and other regulatory bodies.
- Ensure availability and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Serve as a member or secretary of the safety committee, contribute to safety committee meetings and initiatives.
- Collect and analyzing safety performance data, prepare safety reports for management.
- Identifying opportunities for safety performance improvement, implement innovative safety solutions.
- Conduct regular safety / toolbox meeting to keep track and address all safety issues.
- Site safety inspections and audits, construction safety plan development and implementation, management of safety documentation and permits, coordinate with subcontractors on safety matters.
- Work closely with project managers, supervisor, and workers to address safety concerns and promote safety-oriented culture on site.
- Responsible for weekly monthly HSE monitoring and reporting of HSE achievement.
- Liaise with relevant authorities and resolve the safety issues arising from the site if necessary.
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Superior.
Job Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Environmental/Health/Safety) or equivalent.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a safety and health role within the construction industry.
- Certified and poses a valid SHO Green Book issued by DOSH and valid CIDB card.
- Experienced in construction industry
- Competent and well-versed with the latest Occupational Health & Safety Act
- Good interpersonal and communications skill, able to work with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge about workplace risk assessment methodologies and techniques.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday 8.00am – 5.00pm
Saturday 8.00am
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
