Job Summary:
The Accounts Executive is responsible for handling the day-to-day financial operations of
the company. This includes maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts
payable and receivable, preparing financial reports, assisting in budget preparation, and
ensuring compliance with internal and external financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable & Receivable:
- Process vendor invoices, payments, and receipts in a timely and accurate manner.
- Reconcile vendor / receivable accounts regularly.
- Ensure proper documentation and approval of all financial transactions.
Bank Reconciliation:
- Prepare and perform bank reconciliations.
- Monitor cash balances and maintain accurate financial statements.
General Ledger Maintenance:
- Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are posted correctly.
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual closings by preparing relevant financial statements and reports.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Assist in preparing management accounts and provide analytical reports as needed.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor and report on variances between actual results and budget.
Compliance and Auditing:
- Ensure that all financial records are kept in compliance with company policies and external regulations (e.g., tax regulations, statutory audits).
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanation
Taxation:
- Assist in the preparation and submission of tax returns (GST, corporate tax, etc.).
- Ensure timely filing and payment of all tax obligations.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with the finance team and other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding financial queries.
Miscellaneous:
- Support ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives as required.
- Continuously look for ways to improve accounting processes and systems.
Requirement :
- Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Autocount).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Advanced Excel skills and ability to work with spreadsheets.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle stock checking, record keeping, and stock management.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM3,800.00 per month
