Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager with a strong technical background and business analysis expertise to join our team in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to manage development teams effectively and deliver high-quality IT projects on time and within budget. While experience in the financial sector is a plus, it is not a strict requirement for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Planning and Execution:
• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Team Management:
• Lead and manage a team of developers, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the development team as needed.
• Foster collaboration and communication among team members and stakeholders.
• Business Analysis:
• Gather and document business requirements from stakeholders.
• Translate business needs into technical specifications for development teams.
• Ensure that solutions meet business objectives and technical standards.
• Quality Assurance:
• Oversee testing and deployment phases to ensure successful project delivery.
• Maintain high standards of quality and compliance with best practices.
• Stakeholder Communication:
• Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide regular updates on project status, challenges, and outcomes.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience:
• 8+ years of experience in IT project management with a technical background.
• Proven track record of managing developers and delivering complex IT projects.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Technical Skills:
• Solid understanding of programming concepts and technical environments.
• Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, Trello, or MS Project.
• Knowledge of database systems, APIs, and integration processes is an advantage.
• Business Analysis Expertise:
• Experience gathering and documenting business requirements.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical deliverables.

Preferred Skills:

• Background in financial institutions or familiarity with fintech projects is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage diverse teams and stakeholders.
