Procurement Officer

Key Responsibilities

• Develop procurement strategies to meet the plant's operational and financial objectives.
• Source and procure equipment, spare parts, consumables, and services essential for the plant's operations.
• Identify and assess reliable suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
• Negotiate contracts and purchase agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent quality and timely delivery.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate reordering to prevent stockouts and overstocking.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to understand and meet technical requirements.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
• Keep accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, and delivery schedules.
• Seek cost-effective procurement solutions while maintaining quality standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in procurement, preferably in the energy, industrial, or waste management sectors.
• Strong understanding of supplier management, contract negotiation, and inventory control.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to analyze costs and ensure value-for-money purchases.
• Familiarity with procurement for industrial plant operations or energy facilities is a plus.
