Healthcare Assistant

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care:

• Assist patients with personal care tasks
• Monitor and report changes in patients’ physical or emotional conditions to the nursing/ psychology team.

Support in Clinical Tasks:

• Take and record vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
• Assist with wound care, dressing changes, and other routine procedures under supervision.
• Ensure that medical equipment is clean, sterilized, and prepared for use.

Emotional Support:

• Provide companionship and reassurance to patients, promoting their mental and emotional well-being.
• Support patients in maintaining independence and dignity during care.

Hygiene and Cleanliness:

• Maintain cleanliness in patient rooms and care areas by adhering to infection control protocols.
• Assist in changing bed linens and keeping patient environments tidy.

Administrative Duties:

• Maintain accurate patient records, including documenting care provided and changes observed.
• Help with scheduling appointments and coordinating transport for patients if needed.

Team Collaboration:

• Work closely with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions to improve care delivery.
