Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care & Monitoring:
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including taking medical histories and performing physical exams.
  • Monitor and record vital signs (e.g., blood pressure, temperature, heart rate, oxygen levels).
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
  • Observe and record patient symptoms, reactions to treatments, and progress.

  • Collaboration & Communication:
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams (physicians, specialists, and other nurses) to develop, implement, and update care plans for patients.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding treatment plans, progress, and any concerns or changes in health status.
  • Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and families to help them understand their medical conditions and treatment options.
  • Patient Education:
  • Educate patients and their families about health management, post-hospital care, medication regimens, and lifestyle changes.
  • Provide information on infection control, preventing complications, and managing chronic conditions.
  • Safety & Compliance:
  • Ensure patient safety by following hospital policies, infection control protocols, and safety procedures.
  • Administer medical treatments and handle medical equipment in a safe and effective manner.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting all assessments, treatments, and interventions in the hospital’s electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Adhere to legal, ethical, and professional standards, including maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Critical Care & Emergency Response:
  • Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide necessary interventions (e.g., CPR, basic life support, etc.).
  • Take appropriate actions in crisis situations, ensuring patient stability until further care is available.
  • Leadership & Mentorship:
  • Mentor and support junior nurses and healthcare staff.
  • Participate in educational and professional development activities to stay current with best practices and healthcare trends.
  • Assist in coordinating care activities and workload distribution on the nursing unit.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program.
  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications may be required based on hospital requirements.
  • Experience:
  • Prior clinical experience in a hospital setting is preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience in specialized care areas (e.g., ICU, Emergency, Surgery, Pediatrics) is a plus.
  • Skills:
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact compassionately with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, nursing procedures, and hospital protocols.
  • Proficient in using hospital information systems and electronic health records (EHR).

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the hospital for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift or move patients, as required, with proper lifting techniques.
  • Must be able to handle stressful situations and emergencies with calmness and professionalism.

Working Conditions:

  • Hospital environment with potential exposure to infectious diseases, hazardous materials, and high-stress situations.
  • Shifts may include nights, weekends, and holidays, depending on the hospital’s operational needs.
  • On-call duties may be required for certain departments or units.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM9,000.00 per month
