Job description As a CNC Supervisor and Operator, you will play a key role in managing CNC machine operations and supervising a team of CNC operators. You will ensure that all machinery is operating efficiently, troubleshoot issues, and maintain the highest standards of quality. Your leadership will be essential in overseeing daily operations, maintaining safety standards, and optimizing productivity while ensuring precise machining of parts. Key Responsibilities: -Supervise a team of CNC operators to ensure adherence to production schedules and quality standards. -Operate CNC machines (e.g., milling, lathe, router) to manufacture parts according to engineering drawings and specifications. -Set up CNC machines by installing appropriate tools, fixtures, and programs. -Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during operations. -Ensure the team follows safety protocols and maintains a clean, organized work environment. -Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance. -Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure proper machine setup and operation. -Conduct quality checks on parts using precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers) to ensure they meet specifications. -Train and mentor CNC operators, providing guidance on best practices, machine setups, and safety procedures. -Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize manufacturing processes and improve efficiency. -Maintain accurate records of machine performance, maintenance, and production output. Qualification: -Proven experience as a CNC operator, with at least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. -Prior experience in a supervisory role is highly preferred. -Strong understanding of CNC machine operation, programming, and setup including specific machines or software. -Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics. -Proficiency with precision measuring tools and a keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality production. -Solid understanding of machining techniques, tooling, and materials. -Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively. -Excellent problem-solving abilities and troubleshooting skills. -Good communication skills to work with cross-functional teams. -Diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or training in CNC machining is a plus. -Ability to work flexible hours or shifts if required.
