Key Responsibilities: 1. Driver Coordination: • Assign drivers to daily delivery schedules. • Manage absenteeism, late arrivals, and adjust schedules accordingly. • Oversee recruitment and onboarding of new drivers. • Monitor driver and vehicle availability to ensure operational efficiency. 2. Safety & Compliance: • Conduct daily briefings and debriefings with drivers to review key safety and performance measures. • Hold weekly toolbox meetings to discuss operational updates and safety protocols. • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, including proper completion of delivery documents and adherence to routes. • Conduct emergency response training for drivers and attendants to ensure emergency preparedness for operational incidents. • Manage post-delivery incident investigations and take corrective action as necessary. 3. Operational Reporting: • Review daily and weekly operational reports such as OBC (On-Board Computers), fuel efficiency reports, and driver performance assessments. • Submit monthly operational reports to the Business Manager, covering key metrics like safety, delivery efficiency, and vehicle performance. 4. Issue Resolution: • Address delivery issues related to loading/unloading, customer site concerns, and route deviations. • Ensure timely resolution of operational incidents, responding to client concerns within 24 hours. 5. Process Improvement: • Collaborate with the Business Manager to identify and implement process improvements that enhance operational efficiency. • Lead initiatives aimed at improving driver performance and delivery schedules. 6. Training & Development: • Oversee the recruitment and induction of new drivers, ensuring they are well-prepared to meet safety and performance standards. • Assist in organizing driver training sessions, including emergency response training and ongoing development programs. • Conduct performance reviews for drivers and attendants, providing feedback and identifying areas for improvement. 7. Administrative Support: • Ensure all vehicle and driver documentation is in order, including insurance, maintenance schedules, and compliance with regulations. • Manage financial records, including invoice submission, petty cash handling, and payment vouchers. 8. Performance Monitoring: • Track and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure operational goals are met. • Provide regular performance updates and recommendations to the Business Manager on areas for improvement. Key Deliverables: • 100% accurate assignment of drivers and schedule management. • Compliance with safety standards, with zero major safety incidents. • Timely submission of reports and financial documents. • Successful recruitment and onboarding of new drivers. • Conducting weekly toolbox meetings and emergency response training. • Effective issue resolution within 24 hours. • Successful implementation of process improvements and performance enhancements. Required Qualifications/Experiences: • Degree or diploma holder in transportation or logistics or HSE or any equivalent. • 1 – 2 years in transport operations or related activities. • Possess own transportation. • Must be prepared to work outside working hours if situation demands (work issues, breakdown, incidents, etc).
