SENIOR STRUCTURAL DETAILER

• a) Review and interpret construction drawings and specifications for scope and requirements. b) Coordinate activities of Drawing Office, including and not limited to, monitoring submission schedules from Engineering Dept (inbound and outgoing). c) Assist Team Leader to monitor fabrication and delivery schedule. d) Clarify structure setting out and connection details with Engineering Coordinator and prepare RFI/TQ/RFA. e) Responsible for detailing main and miscellaneous structures. f) Create and edit detailed drawings, templates and layouts. g) Generate 2D/3D modeling using steel structure detailing software such as AutoCAD/Progecad or Tekla Structures. h) Generate General Arrangement drawings, shop drawings and other required drawings for fabrication. i) Manage and maintain drawing files, update drawings and modify drawings as instructed by Superior. j) Alert project team leader for any changes or clashing. k) Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by Superior from time to time. l) Scheduling, work allocation, supervision and coaching of team members. m) Provide guidance on use of Tekla software to Junior Structural Detailers/Modelers. n) Review and check the 2D drawings and 3D modeling performed by team members for accuracy and completeness o) Engage with clients, site engineers, sub-contractors and Singapore project team. p) Provide quick approach, monitoring and support to in-house sub-contractors and Fabrication Engineers to ensure full understanding and interpretation of shop and erection drawings. REQUIREMENTS • Degree/Diploma in Structural or Civil Engineering with good results in practical Maths and Physics • Minimum 5 to 10 years detailing experience and skilled in using AutoCAD, Progecad, TEKLA Structures or STRUCAD. • Good knowledge in code of practice and specifications relating to material, welding, surface treatment and etc. • Ability to visualize spatial relationships and translate abstract concept into reality • High accuracy and precision in work with strong attention to details • Highly organized and methodical in work and able to build constructive and effective relationships with multiple functional groups
