Technology Auditor, Group Audit
About the role
Job Overview:
- Offer unbiased, objective assurance and advisory services in alignment with the Audit Charter, adhering to "The Standards for the Professional Practice Framework" as outlined by the Institute of Internal Auditors, regulatory obligations, and other applicable standards.
- Conduct Audit Assessments, including Cybersecurity Audit assessments, to assess the design and operational effectiveness of internal controls and ensure compliance with regulatory standards in line with set audit goals, scope, schedule, and methodology.
- Deliver training and exchange best practices, tools, and evaluation methods related to Technology Auditing with other auditors within the Group Audit function.
- Examine the adequacy of IT operations, processes, infrastructures, and software systems to improve overall governance, risk oversight, and control mechanisms.
- Identify significant audit results, risk impacts, root causes, and suitable suggestions to resolve control deficiencies and performance gaps, and record audit findings.
- Draft audit observations and reports to convey audit outcomes and evaluations to the Internal Audit Committee (IAC) and the Board's Audit Committee (ACB).
- Handle special requests and other incidental tasks.
Qualifications:
- Hold a relevant higher education degree such as Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Engineering, or related disciplines. Certifications in Information Technology (CISA, CIA, CISM, etc.) are advantageous.
- Over 3 years of experience in Cybersecurity, Technology Auditing, or Technology Risk management.
- Expertise in conducting security assessments, reviewing network systems/application codes, and data analytics is a plus.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards (e.g., MAS Technology Risk Management and BNM Guidelines) is beneficial.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with diverse groups of people and maintain a professional demeanor.
- Capable of expressing ideas clearly in both written and verbal forms.
- Able to work independently, manage priorities, multitask, analyze effectively, lead teams, and meet deadlines.
- Quick learner, resourceful, and proactive.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM6,938.92 - RM15,000.00 per month
