Responsibilities
- -Managing the financial accounting functions of core activities companies within the Group. -Monitor and manage treasury functions, working closely with internal business units on liquidity planning, cash management, cash flow forecast, and funding requirements. -Establishing proper accounting procedures and systems to record all transactions accurately and promptly. -Enhance and improve financial systems, processes, tools, and internal control policies and procedures. -Ensure financial statements are accurately prepared on a timely basis and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (Financial Reporting Standards, Income Tax and Companies Act). -Coordinating preparation of business plans, forecasts, and budgets. -Provide financial information to inter-departments. -Assist in overseeing the daily operations of the department. -Ability to lead, coach, and supervise subordinates to ensure timely completion of various group companies' financials for statutory, regulators, and Board reporting. -Liaise with external parties such as auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, bankers on regulatory matters, and relevant documentation, etc. -Support management in performing any other ad-hoc tasks assigned from time to time. -Undertake a regular review of how to increase the efficiency of the groups’ accounting function and reduce dependence on manual labour via the adoption of the latest IT Technology, software, and work practices. -Recommend to management the appropriate investments in this area, and upon approval, to lead the deployment of such technologies and/or processes.
