Retail and wholesale trade managers, plan, organize, coordinate and control the operations of establishments that sell goods on a retail or wholesale basis. They are responsible for operational direction of shops, or of organizational units within shops that sell particular types of product.

  • Serves customers by helping them to select products.
  • Drives sales through engagement of customers, suggestive selling, and sharing product knowledge.
  • Greets and receives customers in a welcoming manner.
  • Responds to customers’ questions.
  • Directs customers by escorting them to racks and counters.
  • Provides outstanding customer service.
  • Documents sales by creating or updating customer profile records.
  • Manages financial transactions.
  • Processes payments by totaling purchases, processing checks, cash, and store or other credit and debit cards.
  • Alerts management of potential security issues.
  • Assists with inventory, including receiving and stocking merchandise.
  • Keeps clientele informed by notifying them of preferred customer sales and future merchandise of potential interest.
  • Determining product mix, stock levels and service standards;
  • Formulating and implementing purchasing and marketing policies, and setting prices;
  • Promoting and advertising the establishment’s goods and services;
  • Maintaining records of stock levels and financial transactions;
  • Undertaking budgeting for the establishment;
  • Controlling selection, training and supervision of staff;
  • Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Candidate must posses at least a Professional Certificate, Advanced / Higher / Graduate Diploma, Degree, Advanced Degree.
  • Fluent in English, Bahasa Malaysia, optionally Mandarin.
