which makes everything possible. The Indirect buyer is responsible for overall Sourcing Organization. They will provide a blend of support at both the tactical and strategic level to deliver results in line with the Global Sourcing Plan
This position reports to the Commercial Operation leader and is part of the Strategic sourcing department located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and will be an on-site role
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Work with global and regional stakeholders to support sourcing activities related to Pall’s indirect service and material requirements for assigned site and/or commodity
- Collaboration with external and internal different function stakeholder such as finance, strategic sourcing, vendor master etc.
The essential requirements of the job include
- SAP Integration and maintenance – timely PR/PO conversion, maintain up-to-date purchasing information record, vendor master data and GR/IR
- Vendor management – supplier onboarding, negotiation of payment term and price increase request in support Pall requirement
- Ensure purchasing policies and strategies are understood and implemented
- Cross functional collaboration with relevant site-level stakeholder (manufacturing, quality, engineering, etc) requisitioners and relevant projects.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- 2-5 years experience in buying, inventory management, and/or supply chain
- Experience with SAP (MM and/or PP) advantageous
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical and communication skills
