Description
- Lead the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) aspects of the Interconnection Facility (IF) for Utility-Scale Solar projects.
- Design and implement an effective maintenance plan on medium and high voltage systems as well as related power quality/telecontrol/telemetering/ICT system.
- Present O&M perspective in reviewing relay protection scheme and control design during construction and operation phase.
- Serve as an expert on transmission-related market design and regulatory issues, monitor key developments, and provide recommendations in these areas.
- Setup and lead a technical team consist of engineer and chargeman to respond to electrical breakdown at Interconnection Facility (IF) while ensuring compliance on Service Level Agreement.
- Communicate effectively with authorities, engineering consultants, competent persons, contractors, vendors and clients during projects phase and service warranty period.
- Develop maintenance procedures related to 6.6kV up to 132kV equipment while ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment legislation.
- Review project technical information and installation quality prior to Defect Liability Period and service warranty.
- Verify all the maintenance outcomes performed by technicians and contractors. Ensure that the countermeasures applied are in accordance with the standards, procedures and specifications allowed.
- Gather information on design failure, installations quality, or materials quality issue, and provide constructive feedback to Project Management team for future improvements.
Requirements
- Possess at least 7 years of working experience in the development or operation of Interconnection Facility (IF) up to 132kV.
- Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, or
- Certified competent person by Suruhanjaya Tenaga in 33kV or 132kV discipline.
- Expert in protection co-ordination studies and configuration of major relay brands approved for by TNB for Utility-Scale Solar Interconnection Facility.
- Experience with commissioning SAT/FAT activities including secondary injection test.
- Experience in secondary and primary designs of medium and high voltage equipment, including protection, metering, automation, power quality, and ICT.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Customer oriented, independent, and good interpersonal skills.
- Good in communication, and excellent verbal and written in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
- Able to work on weekend and public holiday if required.
- Possess valid driving license D, and able to travel to remote areas.
