R&M Senior Heat Transfer Engineer

Job Description : Executes accountabilities, but not limited to below, which may be included as and when required to ensure successful ORA processes and OPERATE phase of R&M OGP:- 1. Organizes monthly combustion and heat transfer equipment competency skills transfer sharing for all relevant staff at R&M OGP for competency development. Provides expertise on all aspects of Heat Transfer Engineering. 2. Provides weekly on-the-job coaching for relevant staff at R&M to improve skills in operating, maintenance, turnaround, processes, designs, and others for R&M fired/unfired equipment. 3. Develops the Learning Portal for R&M OGP heat transfer related equipment, including facilitated videos on the overview, design, process/ operations/ maintenance/ troubleshooting/ safety risks & mitigations, regulatory compliances, Q&A learnings, and others. 4. Lead/coach team in providing technological expertise on process assurance, safe operation, long term reliability of combustion and heat transfer (fired & unfired) equipment, including flare, water tube boilers, waste heat boilers, SRU reaction furnaces and thermal oxidizer. 5. Lead/coach team to successful combustion and heat transfer equipment (fired & unfired) project execution, completion, commissioning, start-up, and project to asset delivery. 6. Lead/coach team for troubleshooting, de-bottlenecking, and effective resolutions of challenges on combustion and heat exchange equipment (fired & unfired). 7. Responsible for equipment design (heat transfer/thermal, hydraulic, mechanical), thermal performance data analysis and interpretations, and conducting specific studies related to combustion, fired and unfired heat transfer equipment. 8. Responsible in developing, reviewing the operating procedures, preventive and corrective maintenance procedures /detailed task-lists, start-up & shutdown, decontamination, and emergency handling procedures of combustion, fired and unfired heat transfer equipment. Provides technical support to operations and maintenance. 9. Responsible for overseeing the complete lifecycle of combustion, fired, and unfired heat transfer equipment. This includes facilitating preventive and corrective maintenance, as well as turnaround scopes, to ensure equipment availability and reliability. Additionally, manage materials and maintain critical spare parts inventory. 10. Responsible for resourcing and delivery of IR scan/ thermograph as needed for trouble shooting and periodic monitoring. 11. Responsible for resolving deviations and derogations in cases of non-compliance and seeking necessary technical authorities’ assurance and approval from relevant technical authorities. 12. Responsible for management of change for combustion, fired and unfired heat transfer equipment. 13. Liaise with turnaround managers and align the scope development and ensure execution is integrated with TA activities. 14. Liaise with P&T group of Combustion and Heat Transfer Specialists, apply guidance, design practices and procurement standards. 15. Lead engineering, procurement, and delivery of combustion fired and unfired heat transfer equipment by producing technical specifications & ITT for tendering activities. 16. Responsible for specific deliverables associated with projects related to combustion and heat transfer equipment. 17. Responsible for combustion and heat transfer equipment in PSA, HAZOP, and desktop safety review studies. 18. Responsible for evaluating vendors, suppliers, and contractors for heat transfer services and equipment, delivering the service contract and assuming the role of contract holder. 19. Continually seeks to improve ways of working to improve performance and to improve value delivery to project and asset. 20. Support the Business Planning (BP) and Work Program and Budget (WP&B) exercise, providing input on the latest scope, cost, and schedule.
