Job Summary:
The Janitor Leader oversees the janitorial team to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors of the Elder Care Centre. This role involves hands-on cleaning, supervising janitorial staff, ensuring compliance with cleaning standards, and maintaining the functionality of cleaning equipment and supplies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Supervision:
- Lead and supervise the janitorial team, including task assignment and scheduling.
- Train new janitorial staff on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and proper equipment use.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
2. Cleaning Duties:
- Perform cleaning tasks, including mopping, vacuuming, dusting, disinfecting surfaces, and waste management.
- Ensure all common areas, resident rooms, bathrooms, and staff areas meet cleanliness and hygiene standards.
3. Health and Safety Compliance:
- Enforce adherence to health and safety standards, especially those related to elder care.
- Identify and address any potential hazards promptly.
4. Inventory and Equipment Management:
- Monitor and maintain cleaning supply inventories, placing orders as needed.
- Inspect cleaning equipment regularly to ensure proper functionality and arrange for repairs or replacements.
5. Coordination with Other Departments:
- Collaborate with the superior and other departments to address specific cleaning needs and schedules.
- Support preparation for events, renovations, or special projects as needed.
6. Administrative Duties:
- Maintain records of cleaning schedules, staff attendance, and incident reports.
- Submit reports and updates to the superior.
7. Other Duties:
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the superior.
Qualifications:
1. Education and Experience:
- High school or Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a janitorial role.
2. Skills and Competencies:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment.
- Ability to identify and resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Understanding of health and safety protocols, especially in elder care environments.
3. Physical Requirements:
- Capability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM2,100.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
