The Nurse Manager is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the elder care facility, providing leadership to maintain high-quality care and services for residents. This role encompasses staff management, budget oversight, regulatory compliance, and fostering a supportive environment for both residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Staff Management:
- Train and supervise nursing, caregiving, and administrative staff.
- Facilitate ongoing training and professional development opportunities for team members.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and address concerns promptly.
- Promote a positive work culture emphasizing teamwork, communication, and mutual respect.
2. Quality of Care:
- Oversee the delivery of individualized, high-quality care tailored to residents’ needs.
- Develop and implement programs to enhance residents' physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
- Monitor resident satisfaction levels, addressing complaints and concerns in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive medical care for residents.
3. Compliance and Regulation:
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards for elder care.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements, including licensing, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Conduct routine inspections and audits to uphold quality assurance.
- Address areas of non-compliance promptly and implement corrective actions.
4. Administrative Duties:
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for efficient daily operations.
- Manage budgets related to nursing operations, including staffing and resource allocation.
- Maintain accurate records of residents' care plans, staff activities, and facility operations.
- Prepare and submit reports to senior management as required.
5. Community Relations:
- Build and sustain positive relationships with residents, families, and community stakeholders.
- Serve as a liaison between the elder care centre and external entities such as government agencies, healthcare providers, and advocacy groups.
- Participate in community outreach and educational initiatives to promote awareness of elder care services.
6. Other Duties:
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the superior.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a related field.
- Valid nursing license (APC) in the relevant state or country.
- Strong knowledge of elder care regulations, policies, and best practices.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize, and perform under pressure.
- A compassionate, empathetic approach and a genuine commitment to enhancing the lives of elderly individuals.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM3,800.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
