Position Overview:
We are seeking a results-oriented and experienced Program Manager to lead and oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of critical semiconductor projects. The Program Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality, to ensure project goals are met on time, within scope, and on budget. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of semiconductor processes, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to drive results in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
What you need to do:
Program Leadership:
  • Manage multiple semiconductor programs across design, development, manufacturing, and product lifecycle stages.
  • Define program scope, objectives, milestones, deliverables, and success criteria in alignment with business goals.
  • Develop and maintain detailed program plans, schedules, and budgets.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Act as the primary point of contact between internal teams, customers, and external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate cross-functional team alignment, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, providing regular updates and addressing concerns promptly.
Risk and Issue Management:
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks throughout the lifecycle.
  • Resolve project roadblocks and issues in a timely manner to ensure minimal impact on deliverables.
  • Ensure program adherence to quality standards, timelines, and cost constraints.
Operational Excellence:
  • Lead program reviews to monitor progress, performance, and alignment with key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes, reduce costs, and enhance overall program efficiency.
  • Oversee resource allocation and manage competing priorities across programs.
Compliance and Reporting:
  • Ensure all programs comply with semiconductor industry standards and regulations.
  • Prepare and present program status reports, including progress updates, financial performance, and key achievements, to senior management.
What you will need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • A Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Engineering is a plus.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, with at least 5 years in program management or project leadership roles.
  • Proven experience managing complex projects in wafer fabrication, packaging Assembly, or semiconductor testing.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Technical Expertise:
    • In-depth knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes, including wafer fabrication, assembly, and test.
    • Familiarity with advanced packaging technologies, process optimization, and yield improvement strategies.
  • Program Management Skills:
    • Strong understanding of program management methodologies, tools, and frameworks (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, PMP).
    • Ability to manage large budgets, schedules, and cross-functional resources.
  • Leadership and Communication:
    • Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Problem-Solving and Decision-Making:
    • Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving challenges.
    • Ability to make data-driven decisions under tight deadlines.
  • Tools:
    • Proficiency in program management tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, or equivalent.
    • Experience with semiconductor-specific software and ERP systems is a plus.
Preferred Certifications:
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 certification.
  • Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher).
  • Semiconductor-specific certifications or training (e.g., SEMI standards).
Work Environment:
  • Based in Seremban Site.
  • May require occasional travel to customer sites, manufacturing facilities, or vendor locations.
