D6: ASSISTANT MANAGER, ACCOUNTS AND OUTSOURCING (MY)
Location: Penang, Malaysia
Salary: RM5,000

Responsibilities

  • Conduct periodic account closing operations.
  • Prepare payroll, including CPF submission and ad-hoc claims to government authorities.
  • Prepare management accounts, statutory accounts, GST returns, monthly payroll, and year-end remuneration returns (e.g., Form IR8A).
  • Handle the preparation of a full set of accounts, including monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings, and manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, and related schedules.
  • Ensure timely submission of reports and payments to clients or BU stakeholders.
  • Comply with accounting standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Stay updated on regulatory and reporting requirements.
  • Develop and maintain long-term client relationships and identify business development opportunities.
  • Train and coach junior staff and new joiners.
  • Support the technical and professional development of team members to achieve competencies and efficient performance.
  • Monitor timesheet completion and ensure KPIs are met effectively.
  • Cultivate an engaging work environment aligned with the firm’s quality, client service, people, and financial objectives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Degree in Business Management, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or professional qualifications.
  • Strong knowledge of the outsourcing environment.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client servicing skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of technical and accounting standards such as SFRS and IFRS.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., XERO, QUICKBOOKS, MYOB) is an advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to RM5,000.00 per month
