Job Description:
As a Testing Analyst/Engineer, you will be responsible for promoting and maintaining the STLC practices, ensuring high-quality and stable software delivery through effective testing methodologies. Your focus will be on verifying software functionality, conducting various types of testing (e.g., SIT, regression, and performance), and addressing any risks that may impact system performance and quality. You will work with development teams, vendors, and stakeholders to design test plans, execute tests, track progress, and resolve issues.
This will be in the form of supporting the Test COE Manager with the implementation of the Testing Centre of Excellence (COE) which contains Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) practices.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology or related field.
- Certifications: Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL), CTAL Test Analyst, or CTAL Technical Test Analyst certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 6 years in manual and/or automation testing, with experience in functional, system, and performance testing, preferably within a banking or financial services environment.
Technical Skills:
- Testing Tools: Proficient with tools such as Microfocus ALM, UFT, Bugzilla, Testlink, JMeter, LoadRunner, and other relevant test management or automation tools.
- IT Systems & Technology: Strong understanding of IT systems, architecture, and technical environments, including integration, performance testing, and automation strategies.
- Test Management: Experience with test management, defect management, and performance testing tools to track progress and resolve issues efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote STLC Best Practices: Advocate and implement testing standards, approaches, and automation strategies for SIT and Performance Testing to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Test Planning and Execution: Design test cases, develop test data, and create comprehensive test plans for system integration, functional regression, and performance testing. Perform manual and automated testing as needed.
- Collaboration and Coordination: Partner with development teams, application support, project managers, and vendors to ensure the IT system meets user expectations and is free from major performance issues.
- Sanity Testing: Conduct sanity checks to verify that systems are stable and functional before deeper testing efforts.
- Risk and Requirement Review: Evaluate requirements for completeness and testability, provide feedback on potential risks, and recommend preventive actions.
- Defect Management: Lead defect review meetings and issue triage sessions, ensuring timely identification and resolution of defects.
- Progress Monitoring and Reporting: Track testing progress, prepare status reports, and provide timely testing and defect metrics to project stakeholders.
- Performance Testing: Execute performance testing and generate detailed performance reports, identifying system weaknesses and optimization opportunities.

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
