Job Description
The role of Senior Process Engineer for Post Sputter Engineering is an exciting role in a fast paced setting involved directly in developing and qualifying new processes as well as sustaining of process and leading the charge to ensure successful process delivery for New Product Introduction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop processes as necessary for Post Sputter Engineering, specifically in areas of lubrication and tape polish
- Qualify new processes via running of evaluations and data collection and making interpretation with use of statistical tools
- Participate and lead the Post Sputter Engineering in New Product Introduction( NPI) task forces
- Coordinate the New Product Introduction (NPI) runs in post – sputter process area
- Documentation of processes and practices
- Use of various tools such as Minitab and Spotfire to make data driven decisions
- Participate and lead activities in FMEA , Process Verification and IMS related to post sputter process.
- Engage and work for process improvement with various teams such as Maintenance Engineering, QA and Analytics.
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
- Bachelor in Engineering ( Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or equivalent ) or Bachelor of Science ( Physics, Chemistry , Applied Science or equivalent)
- Minimum 5 years experience working in Industry – preferably in electronic or semiconductor or hard disk manufacturing environment.
PREFERRED:
- Six Sigma Green Belt and above
SKILLS
- Proficiency in using Minitab, JMP or equivalent
- Proficiency in using Spotfire, Tableau or equivalent
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English as role involves communication with cross site groups in US and China.
