  • Responsible for the operations and equipment of the Maintenance Department.
  • Conforms to and enforces policies & procedures and rules & regulations as laid down by AccorHotels and the hotel in order to achieve the highest levels of uniformity and guest service.
  • Inspects regularly the hotel to assess the state of the buildings and of the installations of equipment. This applies to the inspections of: all stonework, brickwork, paint works, coating, facing, covering, flooring, plumbing and carpentry, and questions concerning the heating, air conditioning, heat pump as well as electrical problems relevant to high and low current (telephone, television, LED signs, machines used in the hotel, kitchen equipment, vacuum cleaners, etc.), questions concerning refrigeration (refrigerating unit) and the functioning of the elevators.
  • Checks, at regular intervals, the state of cleanliness and hygiene in the hotel in accordance with national laws and with the hotel’s norms.
  • To understand the proper functioning of fire detection equipment.
  • Ensures that the fire instructions be obeyed and that the said instructions be posted in all places and that the fire equipment be immediately usable (fire hose, extinguishers).
  • To participate fire drills in accordance to local laws and AccorHotels policies and procedures.
  • Through close supervision recommend improvement and changes to the operations of the Maintenance Department especially creating service standard of the hotel.
  • Ensures that the hotel’s first aid kits are available for used in their proper places.
  • Maintains regular inventories of the technical equipment..
  • Makes sure that fire security installations are in good working order.
  • Runs regular checks on technical equipment to prevent any problems.
  • Maintain a Hotel log entry on incidents, complaints etc and refer them, if required to the appropriate department for follow up action..
  • Ensures that files and record are kept up-to-date and to be checked at regular basis.
