Why does this job exist and why is it critical?​

  • Assist to Management in terms of Security solution, strategy, and plan for SOC.
  • Provide Security leadership to SNOC Team.
  • Perform daily reviews of tracking against SLA's to ensure contractual obligations are met.
  • Monitor, manage, security events and incidents, follow up with customer if necessary.
  • Collect/coordinate/initiate discussion with cross department to get information and help make decision for operation effectiveness.
  • Identify area for improvement for level 1 for better support and strong competent team.
  • Recommend enhancement, participate the development of security policies, standards and procedures for SOC.
  • Provide timely feedback to management for customer’s network and security trends, issues and needs for quality support.
  • Presenting direct value in conducting presale activities as well as SOC solution's & architecture.
  • Identify customer-driven support improvements to products or services and regularly communicate with customer to inform them of issues, help them remediate, and ensure that they continue to operate business as usual.
  • Communicate any special requirements of high severity incidents to both internal and external stakeholders.

What do you need for the role?

  • Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems/ Technology, Communications Management, Network Operations/ Management, Network Security., or any related field and/ or
  • Possess any professional certificate in cyber security eg CISSP, CISA, CIPP or other security certification.
  • 6 to 8 years in cybersecurity field.
  • Experience with security technologies and tooling, e.g. vulnerability scanners, firewalls, network monitors, IAM, SIEM, IDS/IPS
  • Working knowledge of common information security controls, guidelines and standards, such as ISO27001.
  • Knowledge of privacy and data protection regulations, e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA
  • Good Knowledge of SOC SOP, support process and procedures.
  • Communication – Adaptive to discussion, skillfully present and emphasize the value of an idea.
  • Decision Making – Able to mitigate complex projects & risks on operation. Reviewing solution and independently resolve issue and challenges.
  • Team management - Capable of instructing staff, leading, assigning and assisting and reviewing/verifying work quality carried out by technicians and contractors.
  • Regularly leads important projects through broad knowledge.
