JOB SUMMARY: Head of Retail & Distribution is responsible for overseeing the retail stores and managing the distribution of products from suppliers to customers. This role involves ensuring efficient sales performance, inventory management, and customer satisfaction while optimizing distribution networks. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1) Retail Operations Management: • Oversee daily operations of retail stores, ensuring smooth customer transactions, product availability, and store presentation. • Implement retail strategies to drive sales and enhance the customer shopping experience. • Ensure compliance with company policies, brand standard, and local regulations. 2) Sales and Revenue Growth: • Work closely with Commercial Department to develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets. • Monitor retail performance metrics such as sales, foot traffic, and conversion rates. • Analyse sales data to identify trends and implement strategies for improvement. 3) Team Leadership and Staff Management: • Manage and lead retail staff, ensuring they are properly trained and motivated. • Provide ongoing coaching, performance evaluations, and career development opportunities. • Create work schedules and manage staffing levels to meet customer demand. 4) Inventory Management: • Oversee inventory levels to ensure products are adequately stocked and prevent overstock or stockouts. • Work with suppliers and warehouses to manage product distribution and replenishment. • Implement inventory control practices and conduct regular stock audits. 5) Customer Relationships Management: • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service and addressing any customer complaints or issues. • Work closely with Marketing Department to develop and execute loyalty programs, promotions and other initiatives to increase sales and enhance customer retention. 6) Distribution Network Management: • Coordinate logistics to ensure timely and cost-effective product distribution to retail locations. • Monitor distribution operations to ensure thew timely flow of goods from supplies to store or customers. 7) Budgeting and Financial Management: • Develop and manage budgets for both retail operations and distribution activities. • Monitor expenses, including staffing costs, inventory management and distribution expenses. • Implement cost-saving measures while maintaining product availability and customer satisfaction. 8) Reporting and Analytics: • Prepare regular reports on retail and distribution performance, sales data, inventory levels and financial metrics. • Use data to make informed decisions about sales strategies, inventory management, and distribution improvements.
