Position: Factory Manager Industry: Manufacturing Location: Port Klang About the Job We seek an Operations Manager to optimize manufacturing processes, ensure ISO 9001 compliance, and drive efficiency, quality, and safety. Responsibilities include meeting production targets, leading teams, improving workflows, and fostering innovation while managing costs and staff development. Job Responsibilities - Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance with industry standards. - Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the plant. - Monitor the whole operation (ie, manufacturing, engineering, production planning, QC etc) metrics and KPIs to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. - Coordinate with the planning and logistics departments to ensure smooth workflow and inventory management. - Responsible for the proper functioning of the manufacturing section. - Responsible for manufacturing targets. - Responsible for overseeing that all documented procedures and instructions are followed by departmental staff in accordance with ISO 9001. - Responsible for improving the manufacturing efficiency by conducting time & motion studies for work analysis. - Supervise and lead production teams, providing guidance and support to ensure a smooth workflow. - Ensuring all products meet quality standards and specifications. Able to implement and maintain quality control processes and procedures, as well as working closely with the quality assurance team to address any quality issues and implement preventive measures. - Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and efficiency enhancement in furniture manufacturing processes. - Drive compliance to all safety regulations and company policies. - Promote a safe working environment and lead safety training programs. - Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed. - Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality or safety. - Prepare regular financial and operational reports for senior management. - Responsible for recruiting, training, and developing a high-performing operations team. - Driving staff training & development program to achieve the pre-defined schedule objective. - Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching to team members. Qualifications & Requirements - A bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing, production management, business administration, or a related field. - 5 years of experience in manufacturing or production, preferably in the furniture or woodworking industry. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels in Mandarin, English, Bahasa Malaysia. - Proactive, analytical thinking can deliver desired results. - People-oriented and able to handle a large group of team members. - Ability to analyze data and create and review processes. - Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. - Strong project management skills. - To be able to drive changes and be a change agent
