Role Overview We are seeking a dynamic, dedicated, and passionate History Teacher to join our secondary school team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons that inspire critical thinking, historical inquiry, and a genuine love for the subject. The ideal candidate will have: Expertise in History: A strong academic background in History, with the ability to deliver engaging and well-structured lessons aligned with the IGCSE and A-Level curriculum. Classroom Management: Proven ability to maintain an effective learning environment that fosters curiosity, discipline, and academic excellence. Passion for Teaching: An enthusiasm for teaching that motivates students to actively engage with historical topics, develop analytical skills, and gain a deep understanding of how past events shape the modern world. Commitment to Student Success: A student-centered approach, tailoring teaching strategies to meet diverse needs and support learners in achieving their full potential. Collaborative Approach: Willingness to work as part of a team, contributing to curriculum development, departmental planning, and school initiatives. Professional Development: A reflective mindset, staying current with best practices in teaching history and participating in ongoing professional development. Qualifications and Experience: A degree in Education, or a related field. Teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE) is highly desirable. Proven experience teaching History at the secondary level.
