ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The NDC Tracking and Mitigation Analyst will be responsible for the following scope of work: 1.1 Develop sectoral Policy, Action Plans and Mitigation Measures (PAMs) database (spreadsheet or in any applicable form) and/or data repository for the purpose of national reporting; 1.2 Develop and maintain the manual(s), working structure(s) and/or stand of procedure on the sectoral PAMs database (spreadsheet or in any applicable form) and/or data repository; 1.3 Develop methodology to calculate the current and expected achievement of PAMs based on National GHG Inventory; 1.4 Extract and key in data from sectoral PAMs for the applicable technical tables and/or technical templates, which include but not limited to the Common Reporting Table (CRT), Common Tabular Format (CTF) and other applicable items; 1.5 Compile the working files in systematic and structured manner; 1.6 Assist the MyGHG and Project Team to produce/gather supporting documents for the applicable sectors; 1.7 Assist in developing of the NDC Database Management System (NDC-DBMS) testing; 1.8 Assist in the development of sectoral models and the demand functions for scenarios needed to produce GHG emissions projection; 1.9 Verify the data to be inputted by comparing it with the source document(s); 1.10 Updating existing PAMs data; 1.11 Perform regular back-ups to ensure data preservation; 1.12 Perform data recalculations when/if necessary; 1.13 Perform data archiving and documentation; 1.14 Provide support and assistance in the applicable organising meetings; 1.15 Assist the MyGHG and Project Team in term of minutes of meeting, conference/seminar/workshop reports and maintain documentation and records; 1.16 Maintaining proper filing system for all required documents including references and documents; and 1.17 Conduct other applicable works from time to time. QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Science, Engineering, Environmental Economics or any other related disciplines • Minimum (3) year of working experience in the related field; • Basic knowledge of the UNFCCC National Communications or Biennial Update Reporting processes; • Sufficient knowledge in the GHG inventory according to the IPCC 2006 Guidelines; • Basic project management experience with government and/or industries will be an added value; • Candidate must be able to multitask and work independently; and • Good writing and communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
