Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation
Prepare ingredients (e.g., chopping, marinating, or portioning).
Cook dishes as per the menu and established recipes.
Ensure presentation of dishes meets quality standards.
Assisting Head Cook
Support the head cook/chef in planning menus.
Help with inventory and stock management, including ingredient requests.
Hygiene and Safety
Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, including utensils and workstations.
Adhere to food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, or local regulations).
Manage waste disposal effectively.
Team Collaboration
Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
Step in for other roles (e.g., washing dishes, serving) when needed.
Stock Management
Assist in receiving, inspecting, and storing deliveries.
Keep track of inventory and report shortages.
Skills and Qualifications
Experience: Previous work as a cook, assistant cook, or in a similar role.
Skills:
Knowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Personal Qualities:
Team player with good communication skills.
High attention to detail and commitment to hygiene.
Workplace Context
F&B Industry: Cafes, restaurants, catering services.
Healthcare: Hospitals dietary requirements.

Contract length: 12 months
Pay: RM1,322.50 - RM2,500.00 per month
Expected hours: 54 – 60 per week
