PURCHASING ASSISTANT

· Issue PO according to purchase requisition

· Liaise with insurance agent concerning the application of insurance coverage for shipment

· Liaise with custom / forwarder for custom clearance

· Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein

· To plan, monitor, co-ordinate the various inter-departments & suppliers on production from start of purchase to timeline delivery

· Initiate, manage the performance, motivate team and processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness are met, leading to completing the project successfully

· Initiate meetings, and ensure communication effectiveness within team & supplier

· Sourcing of goods and services to support the operations, sourcing of new suppliers and new service providers for better cost savings

· Conducting benchmarking exercise to ensure that we purchase the right product/services from the right source and at the most reasonable market price

· Expediting the process of preparing Purchase Order and payment requisition

· Assist the Manager in tender exercise

· Undertake other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Management from time to time or as and when necessary for the effective realization of the job-purpose.

· Responsible for the preparation and process of the Purchase Order for both local and overseas purchases

· Coordinate and support all internal departments and branches with forecast orders, quotations, costings and delivery schedule

· Coordination with suppliers and forwarders in shipping/delivery matters, order processes and custom procedures related to imports

· Monitoring, follow-up and updating shipping/delivery schedules and payment to supplier

· Provide summary of monthly purchase record for verification & ensure all documents (PO, DO & invoice) are match

· Responsible for the preparation and process purchase orders and documents in accordance with company policies and procedures

Looking for someone who are?

1) Bachelor's degree in related field.
2) Experience in Purchasing roles is an advantage.
3) Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
4) Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
5) Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
6) Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
7) Strong ethics and a commitment to maintaining a fair and inclusive workplace.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
