Responsibilities:
1) Accounts Receivable (AR):
- Managing invoicing and payment tracking for client credit accounts.
- Monitoring loan repayments and addressing overdue accounts to maintain cash flow.
- Reconciling AR accounts and generating aging reports for management.
- Collaborating with collections and customer service teams to resolve payment disputes.
2) Accounts Payable (AP):
- Processing vendor invoices and ensuring adherence to company policies.
- Managing timely payments, including checks and electronic transfers.
- Reconciling AP accounts and resolving discrepancies.
- Optimizing payment schedules to align with financial strategies.
3) Tax Compliance:
- Preparing and filing tax returns
- Ensuring compliance with applicable tax regulations.
- Coordinating with auditors and tax consultants for reviews and audits.
- Maintaining comprehensive documentation for all tax-related matters.
4) Treasury Operations:
- Monitoring cash flow and liquidity to support operational and lending activities.
- Preparing cash flow forecasts and ensuring adequate funds for business needs.
- Managing relationships with financial institutions and monitoring loan facilities with banks.
- Ensuring compliance with facility agreements, including reporting and covenant requirements.
- Overseeing the management of petty cash and other treasury functions.
5) Financial Reporting and Compliance:
- Preparing financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensuring compliance with financial policies, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
6) Process Improvement:
- Identifying and implementing enhancements to financial processes and systems.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiency.
Job Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification is an advantage.
- Experience: 6-10 years of accounting experience, preferably in the credit or financial services industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software, MS Excel, and; familiarity with loan facility management is highly desirable.
- Analytical Ability: Strong attention to detail and the ability to analyse and interpret financial data effectively.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication for engaging with internal and external stakeholders, including banks and auditors.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Integrity: High ethical standards with a commitment to confidentiality and professionalism.
